1. Breka Bakery and Cafe – Various Locations
We absolutely love Breka Bakery and Cafe. Not only are they affordable, they open ’round the clock for a late-night fix when facing impending deadlines. Known for their impeccable range of baked goods, plentiful seating, old-school relaxed vibe, and most importantly free wifi, Breka has four locations around Vancouver.
Visit them: Fraser, Bute, Davie or 4th Ave.
2. Prado Café — Various Locations
Prado keeps you calm and collected with a cuppa 49th Parallel joe within reach of your keyboard. Why we love this place though? Speedy wifi and a welcoming neighbourhood vibe; it’s the perfect spot for solo missions or client meetings.
3. 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters — Various Locations
Get your hands on one of 49th Parallel’s infamous homemade doughnuts; where else can you get PB&J doughnuts and Apple Bacon Fritters? Either soak up the sun on their Mount Pleasant patio, or reward yourself with a quick jaunt to Kits Beach after a hard day’s work from their West 4th location.
4. La Forêt – Burnaby
Work in what feels like an indoor garden. The stunning interior of La Forêt is the perfect escape for relaxing your eyes after all that screen time. We recommend you come with a full charge on your laptop, as outlets are limited.
Visit them: 848 Jubilee Ave, Burnaby
5. Coffee + Vanilla – Coquitlam
Coquitlam’s new hidden gem, Coffee + Vanilla, offers the perfect combo for a productive work space: fast wifi and an even better latte. We guarantee you’ll love their cute desserts, or take home a whole macaron cake — we won’t judge, after that full day of work you just put in!
