We are currently seeking a Social Media Communications Specialist

Liddleworks Indie Media is a boutique agency offering customized solutions to enhance our clients’ online reputation. Our services include website development, SEO, web hosting services, social media management and strategy, blog articles, newsletters and CASL compliant contact management.

We are looking for someone who is social savvy, outgoing, creative, and passionate about helping clients achieve their dreams using the power of an online presence. If you have 3-5 years experience as an active social media networker and want to join a team where your excellent writing and time management skills and your ability to create and build excitement will be valued, this could be the right opportunity for you.

The Social Media Communications Specialist reports directly to the President.

  • Your right and left brain hemispheres process information with ease and speed.
  • Ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytic side, able to demonstrate why your ideas are analytically sound
  • Is eager to meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility.
  • Brings to the position outstanding organizational skills
  • Knowledge of factors influencing search engine rankings.
  • Able to self-motivate and identify opportunities for enhancing processes and campaigns.
  • Able to learn from others and contribute your knowledge to an existing knowledge base.
  • Superior work ethic, self-starter, eager to consistently meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility.
  • Understands social media universe including, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, blogs, etc.
  • Demonstrated creativity and documented immersion in social media (really send the links)
  • Able to turn market research (e.g. keyword research) into actionable tasks.
  • Use your online and offline networking skills to leverage our clients’ and Liddleworks’ message.

On a daily basis, you’ll use Google Drive, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, WordPress, write engaging content, follow a strategic plan, speak to clients. Regularly, you will need to adjust design files in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.

You have a proven track record in:

  • Sticking to a budget
  • Customer Service
  • Communicating (In writing and on the phone)

Education:
Post-Secondary Education/Diploma in Marketing, Digital Communications, Communications.
A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Bonus Points: You can do some design work; know about domains and hosting; have set up G-Suite accounts; have some project management experience; you like networking in the real world; you can wield a camera and live tweet at a client event; you are mature enough to work in your home office.

$38,000 – $40,500 + benefits, commensurate with experience.

There are possibilities for part-time job share or part-time leading to full-time.
