There are 3 feeds that are available on Instagram: Home, Favourites, & Following. Let’s break down each one:
This is a great tool to take advantage of especially if you like to post videos over 60 seconds. IGTV is like a combination of Instagram and YouTube. You can create a series showing various products and services you offer.
Home: gives users a feed sorted algorithmically including accounts you don’t follow and similar posts you’ve liked.
Favourites: enables users to create a list of accounts, or “marked favourites” to see content from.
Following: enables users to view the chronological stream of posts from accounts they follow. This had been the default prior to the 2016 change which included no algorithms and no suggestions from accounts you don’t follow.
Ever wanted to react or respond to a video? Similar to how you would “Stitch” or “Duet” a video on TikTok, Instagram has a “Remix” feature for all public videos. You will receive a notification when someone’s remixed your video. It’ll then get posted to their profile and won’t affect the original video.
So you can react, respond, add your 2 cents, and collaborate with creators easier! Click the 3 dots in the top right corner and hit “Remix this reel” to get started.
Businesses can add a direct link to the desired webpage on stories. Simply swipe up or press the square in the upper right corner, select “link,” then add your URL. Your followers will be taken directly to the webpage & your story will be up for 24 hours.
